Turns out you need a lot of things to wander for two months!

We are nearing the end of the seemingly interminable to-do-checklist phase of trip preparations – in 36 hours we’ll be in an airport preparing to flee the continent for a trip of a lifetime.

(Very much looking forward to the logistics-heavy portion being completed.)

Also, Earl Grey has feelings about the current state of the preparations…

This post is mostly to practice how to quickly make a blog post, especially because we may not be able to troubleshoot as easily on suspicious Internet connections.

All for now – as riveting as the travails of trip insurance and currency exchange can be, we’ll probably keep those fascinating moments off the blog.

In the coming months we’ll do our best to share the adventure here, with photos and videos where Internet allows!

In the meantime, here’s our cat being cute.

Going to miss that little guy.

But a week from now we’ll be in the Galapagos, snorkeling with more creatures than I probably know exist.
